Yoga & Mindfulness Workshop:

Here Now, Like This

10:00 - 13:30 & 15:00 - 18:30

In this workshop, we will slow down and turn towards what is going on inside of us and around us. We will relax into our natural presence and meet what is here with kindness. Through a mix of yang yoga, yin yoga and mindfulness meditation, we will deeply feel what is arising. We will care for and delight in ourselves.

Tools will be offered to help breathe into the fullness of each moment.  This heightens our intimate connection to life. Our hearts are boundlessly full of love and naturally present. Our task in life is to turn towards and include what is here. To trust in our ability to meet what is going on in an openhearted way: full of kindness, compassion, joy, & spaciousness. Doing so, over and over, breath by breath, adds a spring to our step. We see more clearly how confident and resilient we are. We more fully appreciate the beauty and preciousness of our life.

Yoga & Mindfulness Workshop:

The Power of Gratitude

10:00 - 13:30 & 15:00 - 18:30

Every creature on this planet has at least one superpower. Ants can carry 50 times their own bodyweight, hummingbirds can fly backwards, humans can express gratitude. This may sound trite, but gratitude is our superpower. A superpower we know about, pay lip service too, but don’t fully take into our hearts and honour. In this workshop, through yin& yang yoga as well as meditation & contemplation, we will delve deeper into cultivating this power for more health, ease, and joy in our body/heart/minds.

What is Yin Yoga:

Yin yoga is a still, slow form of yoga. Postures are done sitting or lying and are held for 2 to 5 minutes long.  It is the vital balance needed to an active, dynamic, and muscular yoga practice or lifestyle. Yin targets the fascia (connective tissue) and meridians, creating more ease throughout the body, especially in your joints. It is extremely helpful for relieving back pain and loss of flexibility. Yin yoga helps us to achieve and maintain our own personal range of motion. By activating the meridians and the parasympathetic nervous system, it calms our body and minds.  It relieves stress and tension in the physical body. It opens us up to the depth of our emotional body, providing us with time and space to hold and digest our emotions. Through yin's natural meditative qualities, it helps still the mind allowing for more clarity of thought and insight.
