Me & YOga

From Vancouver to now

I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. At 18, I left home to study theatre in Toronto — and that first step opened a lifelong path of travel, learning, and movement.

Along the way, I’ve taught Drama in Paris, English in Japan, and Philosophy in southern Germany; studied Kathak dance in India; completed a Master’s in Theatre in Ireland; and began my yoga teaching path on the island of Gozo, Malta.

In 2009, I moved to Berlin — a city that feels very much like home. Today, I teach workshops, retreats, private sessions, and yoga teacher trainings both locally and internationally.

Sharing yoga — and the practices that support inner clarity and resilience — continues to be a source of joy, curiosity, and wonder.

Yoga As Lifestyle

I have been practicing yoga since 1997. What first drew me in was the simplicity: body, breath, attention. Standing still and sweating. Not moving — yet deeply moving.

Over time, my practice has grown beyond the physical. Yoga has become a way of living — a commitment to awareness, presence, and clarity in daily life. Meditation, Buddhist philosophy, and the Insight Yoga approach are central to my practice, guiding both stillness and insight.

For the past ten years, Internal Family Systems (IFS) has been an integral part of my teaching, supporting a compassionate exploration of our inner world. I also draw on principles from Chinese Medicine to honor the body’s natural wisdom, creating classes and workshops that connect movement, energy, and self-awareness.

My Teaching

After completing my first teacher training, I began teaching yoga full time on Gozo, Malta, bringing sixteen years of experience in teaching and performance to the mat. I hosted week-long yoga holidays, taught privately, and built a devoted local clientele.

Since moving to Berlin in 2009, my teaching has expanded to include monthly
workshops, online classes, private sessions, IFS-informed coaching, yoga weekends, and Insight Yoga retreats in France. I also co-facilitate two yoga teacher trainings each year with
Kisa Akademie and have many years of retreat teaching at Mandali, Italy.

Sharing yoga continues to be a source of wonder and joy. I am grateful for the opportunity to bring my practice, study, and experience to my students, guiding them as we explore and grow together.

my classes

I teach yoga with a functional, trauma-informed approach, honoring our diverse individuality. My classes include still yet challenging Yin sessions, dynamic flowing Hatha (Yang), and meditation practices. I adapt to the abilities, levels, and anatomical variations of each student, creating spaces that both support and challenge — and there’s always room for laughter.

In every class, I invite students to connect with the present moment. Yoga becomes an opportunity to feel into what is happening right now and to be fully with it. The postures help us build strength, increase flexibility, and cultivate energy, which we then carry into our daily lives with clarity, ease, and awareness. We take this gathered strength and clarity, and bring it with us as we meet our daily challenges and joys.
